What is bone conduction and what can it do for you?

For Activities - Traditional earbuds isolate us from our friends, and taking one earbud out to half hear your music and the conversation is a poor compromise. Listen to both in full quality with bone conduction tech.

Commute Safer - Every year an increasing number of pedestrians and cyclists are involved in accidents while wearing earbuds. Bone conduction allows you to listen to your music without compromising the ability to hear cars and your safety.

Protect your Eardrum - Traditional earbuds and speakers send strong waves into your outer ear to stimulate sound, but these strong waves can also cause damage. Bone conduction completely bypasses the outer ear, preventing any damage.

For the workplace - Listen to music while you work without isolating yourself or losing the ability to hear your coworkers.

a safer way to listen to music outdoors

This is my first bone conduction Bluetooth headset. It is very interesting, after 1 month I’m still very excited when using it. First of all, it is very safe to use, I still can be aware of the sound surrounding me as my ears are not covered, which is perfect for me as a mother, I need to be able to hear my daughter. At the same time I can listen to my favourite music, so I’m a happy mum. It is comfortable to wear, I also wear sunglasses and the headset at the same time so no problem at all. Connected to the phone very fast, so much better than most of my Bluetooth speakers. Recommended for cyclists and joggers.

Great Bone conduction headphones

I work in an area where we aren’t allowed to wear headphones from a H&S point of view. I got these cleared by my manager - they aren’t restricting your ability to hear your surroundings so they are great. I did think that this was just like wrapping a set of earbuds around your ear and letting the bud dangle next to your ear canal. But whenever I am wearing earplugs in work, I could still hear the music perfectly - so they definitely work. They are maybe just very slightly too big for my tiny pea head, but apart from this they are amazing.

works amazing well. Great Value

Mostly, I'm thrilled. Let me give you the good and the not-so-good.

The good
- These work. Volume at 100 percent is loud enough to drown out a television on regular volume. Volume at low allows in directed noise... if someone is speaking your name, for instance. I keep them on "drown out ambient noise, but allow people to speak to me or for me to hear my phone" volume most of the time. Not surprisingly, it's about half way.
- Sound quality is good. Respectable, even if slightly tinny (that sort of small-speaker sound). I actually think they do sound good. Think 7.5 or 8 out of 10.
- Super easy setup. Turn them on, they go into pairing mode. Took one minute.
- Great form factor. I have small ears and wear glasses. These drive me less crazy than in-ear buds or tight fitting muffs that press my ears into the ear piece of my glasses.
- Easy to charge and good battery life. I get hours of use on a single charge.

The not-so-good
- I said they were "tinny" when I said they sounded good. They sound good. Not great. Loud. Discernible. Good. But you may miss some lows.
For $40, should you buy them? For a first set of bone conductive ear buds, I'd recommend them.

Excellent Quality, design.

I took a chance on this one. It had very few reviews, and the delivery time was 2 weeks. I had tested AfterShoks at a store and felt it would be perfect for my bike commute, but just a bit too expensive. Long story short, I’ve used this unit every day for a month and totally happy with it. Sound is not super loud but I can always hear it unless the wind speed is over 30 mph, b, ut it’s easy to silence it with a button press. A long press activates Siri, two days presses skips forward my set amount (1 minute) on a podcast, or to the next song on my music. Although the talk or play time is only 6 hours, the headset has never died on me, because it’s very efficient. I often have between 60 to 80% charge left at the end of the day.
Often I just have the phones around my neck, not on my ears, and I can hear enough for my Cyclemeter to let me know what’s going on.
The sound quality is not supposed to be even as good as a cheap Sony headset, but it’s clear and has no issues with distortion or buzzing. It’s just what I wanted for this usage, and I’m glad to have saved a hundred bucks.

This is a good deal

I have been 90% deaf in my right ear for 40 years. Then one day I came across a weird looking set of headphones and put then on the normal way, trying to insert into to ear, and it just did not "fit." But a really weird thing happened--I could hear in my right ear. I was hearing STEREO again!

I then digged into this and found out they were Bone Conduction headphones--something I never knew existed. They broke because they were all rigid, and so I looked for another type, and found these with a flexible backing, and for just $50 too. I went for it in a flash. it is a no-brainer for that price

These are great. I listen mostly to talk and speech at work so I do not care about great musical quality, but the sound quality I hear is just perfect. And who cares for rich musical sound with Bone Conduction because your ear is free to hear the ambient noise all around you as you listen to the headphones --a real PLUS because I can listen to them and still hear everything normally happening around me. No vibration, fit nicely, flexible. Can't comment about call featues yet.

It is so weird to hear in stereo even though my right ear somehow got damaged a long time ago.
